Anaconda choke from front headlock
You wrap their head and one arm from the front and roll to tighten the choke. Use it when they shoot or turtle with their head low and an arm in.
Front headlock Submission
Step by step
- From front headlock, snap their head down so it is under your chest.
- Shoot your choking arm under their neck from the front and out under their far armpit. Their head and one arm are inside.
- Grab your other biceps with your choking hand. Put your other hand on their upper back.
- Drive your shoulder into their trapped arm.
- Roll under them toward the trapped-arm side, so you end on your side and they end on their side.
- Walk your legs toward their hips and squeeze your elbows together slowly until they tap.
Details that make it work
- Reach deep. The deeper your arm, the more it chokes and the less it cranks.
- The arm must be in. Head only is a neck crank, not this choke.
Common mistakes
- A shallow grip that squeezes the face and jaw.
- Rolling toward the wrong side, which frees the arm.
Drill it
10 grips each side from front headlock, then 5 rolls and slow finishes each side.
