Mounted triangle
You trap one arm high and lock a triangle from on top of mount. Use it when they push on your hips or chest to escape mount.
Mount Submission
Step by step
- Climb to high mount, knees in their armpits.
- When they push on you, pin one arm high, alongside their head.
- Slide your knee on that side up beside their head so the arm stays trapped.
- Lift their head with your hand and slide your other shin under their head.
- Lock your other leg over your foot, their trapped arm inside your legs.
- Sit back, pull the trapped arm across their neck, and squeeze your knees together slowly until they tap.
Details that make it work
- The trapped arm must be inside your legs before you lock.
- Sit tall. Leaning forward gives them room to bridge.
Common mistakes
- Locking the figure-four with both arms outside, which is just a headlock.
- Squeezing fast instead of adjusting the angle.
Drill it
10 slow reps each side from high mount.
